Description

Senior Credit Market Risk Specialist

Analyze reports and tools to monitor the open product exposure (fixed income, options, etc). Uses reports from the system and other tools to identify potential exposure. Adjusts credit limits and other types of levels as appropriate to make sure exposure is in line with our expectations and to meet customer needs. Customer iquiries will require researching possible options and to make an accomodation.Must have basic customer and industry knowledge. Must have knowledge of all pertinent rules and regulations. Must have solid knowledge of various business groups and how it interacts with the rest of Pershing. Product knowledge is very important. Ability to understand and build new reports and monitoring tools is useful. Must have knowledge of Broker/Dealer structure. Must have knowledge of the types of businesses Pershing s customers operate in (Limited Liability, Corporations, Partnerships, etc.). Need to understand nuances of all the different financial reports (understand the footnotes and details) in order to analyze reports and determine if there are any issues and set limits. Must know rules and differences between domestic and international marketplaces. Must have strong problem solving skills. Must be resourceful and able to research and find solutions. Must analyze different websites and other online access systems to gather information and be able to make decisions. Has direct impact on Credit Management group Indirectly impacts all of Pershing through work performed. Interactions are mostly internal candidate must have high level of both oral and written communication skills.

Customer will also have a customer facing role to gather facts and understand customers strategy and financing needs

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree preferred Series 7, Series 24. 10-12 years experience.

Job Description:
The candidate will be responsible for preparing and performing analysis with respect to numerous credit risk management reports including performing Value at Risk (VAR) analysis on the firms largest margin accounts, all firm proprietary positions and proprietary positions of our Introducing Broker Dealers. In addition to preparing reports, the candidate will be responsible for future enhancements on the VAR functionality and also for the overall relationship with the vendor that provides the VAR analysis. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing other risk management reports. The candidate will also serve as a staff support on Pershing's credit/risk ops committees.

Candidate must be familiar with Value at Risk analysis
