Overview:
The position will entail interacting with business representatives, Information Technology (IT) delivery team and other vendor teams to deliver a series of IT projects to clients. Interaction with senior stakeholders is also a regular occurrence so a confident communicator is essential in this role.
The Project Manager will be required to take ownership and lead a project team through all stages of the software cycle in order to enhance Treasury platforms.
The key objective of this role is to bridge the gap between the client's requirements and the onshore and offshore technical delivery team and help to successfully deliver projects within this diverse and challenging space.
Key Responsibilities:
* Agreement of Project Scope and Analysis with the Client.
* Ensure that the Technical Implementation is robust, flexible and consistent across the platform.
* Ensure that Tests plans are prepared and execution effectively.
* Effective management of the release and roll-out process.
* Issue analysis and resolution.
* Project risk management and mitigation.
* Delivery of high quality solutions in a timely fashion.
* Project forecast and budget constraints.
* Weekly Status Reporting to Senior Management.
* Effective Client Reporting and Presentations.
* Work with the Treasury project process covering all business aspects of the process from requirements gathering through implementation.
* Be responsible for the relationship with business users and delivery teams.
* Be responsible for requirement gathering, business analysis, functional design, system and integration testing.
* Ensure that specific project deliverables are produced on time in accordance with the project plan and make sure that all relevant parties are informed of progress.
* Maintain a quality control process and ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
* Manage the execution of policy statements and all standards derived from them.
* Manage risks and issues for a project's successful outcome.
* Report project progress at regular intervals to senior management and produce key documentation for distribution.
* Together with the Technical Analyst perform a detailed low level evaluation of development effort estimates that are provided by vendors.
* Enhance/improve the delivery process of Treasury projects through the definition and implementation of best practices.
You will have:
* Experience as a Project Manager within an Investment Banking domain.
* Proven track record of high quality delivery.
* Structure Project management training and qualification would be a significant benefit.
* Experience of Agile project methodologies, and ideally experience of implementing Agile within project teams.
* Experience of liaison with other departments (i.e. Business units, Infrastructure teams, Audit) across multiple countries.
* Experience managing small to medium sized groups of on-site and off-shore vendor resources within a mixed-vendor operating model.
* Experience in identifying and documenting client technical needs, internal structures, procedures, workflows and systems.
* Vendor management experience.
