Risk Projects – Equities and Funds Management
New role is now available at a big 4 domestic bank in a risk projects role with a focus on equities and asset management. Our client is looking for someone with experience implementing risk frameworks and has a broad understanding of Global Markets operations and the inherent risks.
This role will provide strategic direction in ensuring the operational risks being faced by the organisation are adequately adressed and mitigated.
Duties will entail-
- Responsible for identification of operational risks and delivery of the operational risk management process and culture in the organisation
- Process improvement and risk framework implementation
- Assisting with managing relationships between all departments of the bank in addressing operational risks
- Assisting with managing compliance issues
- Manage the regulatory information required by the various regulatory bodies APRA, AUSTRAC, RBA, ASIC.
- Assist senior management in new projects and new products being delivered.
Suitable candidates will possess -
- 3-8 years working knowledge and experience with the banking sector preferably in operational risk or audit with a project management component
- Knowledge of international banking practices and procedures
- Ability to be accurate and have attention to detail
- Sound understanding of the banking and local regulatory environment
- Strong time management skills
- Finance related university degree
