Risk Specialist recruitment
The Risk Management Function is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the risk management framework. Reporting to the Risk Manager, the Risk Executive will be responsible for advising the business and management on the application of risk policies and procedures and will undertake monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of risk management and controls and the application of risk policies. In addition, the Risk Executive will also play a leading role in supporting the embedding of the risk management framework throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities of Job/Role:
- Assist in the continuous development and implementation of the Risk Management Framework
- Implement Risk Function Annual Monitoring Plan;
- Review and challenge of risks identified and an assessment of control effectiveness
- Identify trends arising from risk MI and undertake monitoring to identify risks;
- Monitor the business implementation of, and compliance with the Board approved Risk Policies.
- Support the maintenance of the company Risk Register and other relevant risk policies and procedures;
- Working with departments to establish, maintain and continuously improve risk management capabilities;
- Support risk management education and training within the company as necessary for effective risk management;
Qualifications / experience for the Risk Executive
- Degree in business, preferably finance, law, or maths related discipline or accountancy part qualified / qualified
- At least 3 years experience in the financial services industry preferably in General Insurance.
- Accounting related qualification desirable or willingness to undertake.
- Knowledge of relevant regulation.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
