Risk Valuations Analyst recruitment

A Top Tier investment bank has opened up three exciting roles at Associate, AVP and VP level within their Global Valuations Group as a Risk Valuations Analyst. You will be providing technical assistance and support on current market Valuation Issues. You will need great communication skills, a strong intellect, and great interpersonal skills and an excellent team player.

Key Responsibilities

- Providing technical assistance and support on current market Valuation Issues e.g. CVA, secured and unsecured derivative discounting, and Fair Value Hierarchy classifications.

- Methodology also inputs into the review of valuation models from a Finance perspective, including the quantification of model reserves and of model uncertainty as appropriate.

- Governance of reserving and IPV methodologies.

- The development of IPV and Fair Value Adjustment Methodologies including the Valuation Policy Framework.

- Ensuring global compliance to policy through a global quality assurance programme.

Skills Required

- A degree, preferably in a mathematical discipline or equivalent

- Masters or PhD degree in a numerical subject or equivalent

- Qualified Accountant or equivalent

- Investment Banking experience is a plus but not essential.

- Good understanding of investment banking products

- Experience of risk valuation control or product control

- Experience of working as a quantitative analyst or in a relevant highly technical role valuation/risk role.

- Strong analytical skills and a proven track record at problem solving.

- Working knowledge of derivatives pricing models.

- Strong data analysis skills acquired, for example, through research in an experimental science.

- Technical skills (e.g. use of Excel and Analytic libraries to prototype new processes) would be useful.
