Group IT is this global organisation provide high level IT Services to all business divisions around the world.

The Role
With customers and suppliers located globally, this role would be located in Zurich; with limited travel within the city. This role may also require limited international travel.

Key Accountabilities
In the role, you are expected to have a detailed technical knowledge of analytics applications relating to Risk business processes (RiskLink and Remetrica applications) and the supporting software environment. Having a detailed knowledge of configuration and use by the business you should be able to effectively manage operational user relationships to enable business requirements to be fulfilled. You will also need to be able to understand and resolve, or identify, technical issues and manage issue resolution to agreed Operational Support SLAs. For projects, including software and hardware upgrades, you will be required to perform the role of Project Manager and successfully manage project objectives and outcomes (following Group Standards). The varying needs of this role require you to provide hands on technical support, be fully accountable for all required elements of the service and ensure a high quality delivery that aligns to the expectations of a number of influential stakeholders.

Skills and Experience
In addition to your high level of education, you will have ideally 5 to 10 years extensive and in depth knowledge of SQL, C++, Java, MS Access etc. It is highly desirable that you will have detailed, technical understanding of the RMS RiskLink, and Remetrica, application software packages. You will also have a good understanding of the business activity associated with its use eg Catastrophe Modelling, You will have extensive hands on experience of leading projects on a global basis in both business and technical environments and have considerable experience in managing with 3rd party suppliers. Fluent English is a must, German or other languages are an advantage. We expect a highly motivated, resilient and self starting individual with excellent interpersonal, communication, networking and persuasion skills. A clear focus on customer and results and with accurate, pragmatic and efficient working methods. You must be able to work under pressure, on your own initiative and enjoy the challenge's presented within an international, multicultural environment.
