Our client is an affiliate of the high-frequency proprietary trading firm seeking a Risk Analyst to join their new team in Singapore. The analyst will work closely with their Managing Director - Asia, Chief Risk Officer, Operations team, and developers.
Responsibilities
- To monitor Real-time market risk and to report the findings
- To work with traders and the back office to ensure accuracy of risk management tools and analytics
- To assist in the development of new risk measures and controls
- To test risk systems to ensure peak performance
- To learn about external relationships with markets and brokers, including but not limited to participating in new exchange memberships, opening trading and clearing accounts, coordinating technical changes, and developing and helping to track project plans as required
- To research and analyze new markets and financial products and assisting
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree from a top university, preferably in computer science , finance, or a related field
- Three to five years of industry experience in a risk or trading role with a bank or hedge fund
- Recent experience with Asian markets
- Strong knowledge of options risks and valuation
- Solid Excel, VBA, and database proficiency
