HALO-Flight Inc. is a non-profit organization established in 1987. HALO-Flight currently operate two helicopters and one critical care ambulance.
HALO-Flight is currently seeking the following full time positions to be filled on our Specialty Care Transport Ground Ambulance: ***Note: This is not a helicopter position***
- Two critical care RN’s with either EMT, EMT-I or EMT-P certifications
(Must have a DSHS license to be considered for this position)
The testing process for hiring of medical crews is broken down into four sections: 1) Oral Interview, 2)Written Exam, 3) Hands-on Critical Care Practical Exam and 4) Skills Verification testing. Testing is highly concentrated on the critical care patient.
RN Requirements:
Texas Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years experience in critical care (Emergency Department and/or ICU/CCU) with the following certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- TNCC or Trauma equiv.
- PALS, ENPC or equiv.
- Prefer 5 years experience
- Prefer paramedic pre-hospital experience
- Prefer a mix of ER and ICU experience
- Prefer: CEN or CCRN (must obtain one within 12 months of hire)
- All crew members must obtain ATLS audit and NRP certificate within 12 months of hire
*The RN must be able to care for and manage critical, vented patients with multiple drips for 20 minutes to 4 hours without supervision. Being able to work autonomously and under protocols is a must. The RN will be tasked with the documentation of every transport. The RN will be lead for every patient encounter.
The RN MUST have ER and/or ICU background of 3years.
