RN Home Health Supervisor Job in Denver, Colorado US
Homewatch CareGivers of Denver is seeking a part-time RN supervisor to oversee skilled care through our agency. This position will be 2-3 days per week plus on-call duties; in the future, we anticipate it to grow into a full-time position for the right candidate and as business needs increase.
Homewatch CareGivers has been serving the Denver Metro area with excellent in-home care since 1980. Our clients are located in Denver, Parker, Aurora, Centennial, Wheat Ridge and the surrounding areas. Reliable transportation, ability, and willingness to travel in and around this area on a day-to-day basis is a must.
Duties include new client assessments, Quality Assurance/Supervisory visits, client care such as medication set-ups and insurance assessments, caregiver/CNA training and supervision of skilled care, and participating in and ensuring a successful licensure survey. Reporting to the Executive Director, the RN Supervisor shall be currently licensed in the state of Colorado as a registered nurse, and have at least TWO YEARS' experience in nursing, with ONE YEAR in home care or a closely related field, and at least ONE YEAR supervisory experience. Knowledge of State of Colorado Home Health regulations strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Staff development, home care or home health experience preferred. CPR Instructor-Certified helpful but not required. License clear of infractions required. Experience in geriatrics a must, pediatric, post labor delivery, cardiac, pulmonary and life-altering physical and mental diseases a plus.

2. Must maintain skills and learning on an ongoing basis, as well as adhering to Homewatch CareGivers, local, state and federal policies
3. Has background in managing other heath care professionals
4. Must be able to function with minimal supervision, multi-task, problem solve and make decisions on a timely basis
5. Must have knowledge and be able to supervise and train on all following items (where permitted by state regulations):

6. Software experience with Word, Excel and other applications
7. Satisfactory background screening results
Major Responsibilities: The RN Supervisor manages client services, provides supervision and training for all home care service staff, and is responsible to:
1. Assist marketing our services to social workers, physicians and nurses
2. Perform initial client evaluations, home safety evaluations, and develops client care plans
3. Conduct client quality assurance visits
4. Hire, supervise and train other RNs, LPNs and LVNs to support clients and business functions
5. Assist in interviewing, hiring, training and retaining caregivers and CNA's
6. Supervise caregivers under the accordance of state regulations and the local State Board of Nursing
7. Oversee the accuracy and relevancy of client reporting and records
9. Maintain case management functions to include working with client physician teams and client families and communicating routine progress reports
10. Participate in company compliance assessments by state agencies and ensures privacy compliance through routine training of all agency staff
11. Work with all other management to ensure caregiver training is accurate and completed
