RN – Registered Nurse – Perioperative Clinical Educator
- Education - utilizes the theories and principles of education to foster educational development of staff, patients and the community of metro Phoenix.
- Consultation - Acts as a healthcare expert and resource to the nursing staff, ancillary departments, patients/visitors and community of of metro Phoenix.
- Administration/Leadership - Cooperates with hospital administration and peers in a team effort to promote patient and community well being.
- Demonstrates commitment, self-responsibility and accountability for own professional practice.
- Works cooperatively with department managers to coordinate educational programs both intra and inter-departmentally.
- Participates in the selection of resources for needed services not provided by the department/service or the organization.
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and/or the Director of Surgical Services

Collaborates with hospital managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies gaps.
. Develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans/programs.
. Demonstrates strong knowledge of AORN standards and healthcare regulations in order meet related training needs.
. Strong knowledge of SCIP core measures.
. Participates in the organization's compliance with mandatory training.
. Serves as a consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice and professional development.
. Utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of training requirements.
. Coordinates the continuity of orientation programs.
. Coordinates and collaborates with external learning tools/institutions to develop AORN structured periop program.
AZ RN license or eligible to obtain
At least 1 year experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator in a Perioperative setting.
Current certifications - BLS, ACLS, CNOR
BSN from an accredited college of nursing required
MSN preferred
