About the Job

A)    Responsibilities:
1.      Responsible for representing RSG in a selling capacity to current and potential customers in the residential new construction, light commercial, multi family construction and replacement equipment market.
2.      Lead Generation
a.       Through all building industry sources (Ex: associations and publications).
b.      Through telephone and mail contact.
c.       Signs, publications and reports.
d.      Through coordination with marketing/advertising by division's Marketing Manager.
 
3.      Cold Calling
a.       Visiting subdivision/builder offices in person.
b.      Visit plan rooms (Ex: Dodge/ABC).
c.       Attend trade shows, etc.
d.      Walk job sites (competition, other installation practices).
 
4.      Estimation and Design
a.       Picking up blue prints.
b.      Designing HVAC systems.
c.       Estimating designs.
d.      Bidding all plans and jobs acquired from customers.
e.       Perform heat gain and loss calculations (Manual J).
f.       Design duct layouts competitively (Manual D).
g.      Perform costing of material and labor.
 
5.      Sales Presentation
a.       Presenting proposals to prospects or customers.
b.      Knowledge of all product information.
c.       Complete understanding of company services.
d.      Sell the company
e.       Sell yourself.
 
6.      Customer Service Retention
a.       Take all action necessary for builder retention.
b.      Credit and collection responsibilities.
c.       Follow up on any problems/complaints.
d.      Spend spare time with existing builder account.
e.       Entertaining and promoting of builder account.
 
7.      Miscellaneous
a.       Administrative duties.
b.      Participation with committees in the building industry and trade associations.
