            Labor and delivery experience preferred. This is a variable shift position.

Summary:  Carry out routine patient care assignments on the unit assigned, performing established nursing procedures for individuals or groups of patients, utilizing age-specific guidelines.


Requirements:  Graduate of nursing program: Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN. Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience. Satisfactory completion of Work Steps evaluation prior to hire.

DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Critical thinking skills while utilizing the nursing process based on evidence-based outcomes and Standards of Practice. Competency in clinical skills related to the patient population being served. Competency in decision-making for emergency situations. Competency in the management of critical patient situations. Knowledge of how to access and utilize available resources.  Unrestricted RN license from the State of Colorado Board of Nursing or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement. BLS and NRP required. For new hires and transferring employees, certification will be obtained during orientation if necessary.
