RN/Rehab Admission Coordinator
Rehab RN experience mandatory.
Must be willing to be mobile and work in all PVHS Facilities.
Summary: Coordinate the screening and admission process for patients that meet Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) admission criteria including pre-authorization. Act as liaison to internal and external customers, and facilitate communication of appropriate services. Coordinate documentation for regulatory compliance in the Prospective Payment System.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Minimum 3 years clinical experience as an acute rehabilitation RN required. DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITIES: Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of ICD-9-CD codes and CMGs. Unrestricted RN license from the State of Colorado Board of Nursing or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement. BLS required. For new hires and transferring employees, certification will be obtained during orientation if necessary. Rehabilitation nursing certification preferred.
