Opportunity
Parsons is seeking a Project Manager with road and highway design and engineering management experience in the greater Los Angeles and Southern CA region. Specifically, the selected candidate will have successfully managed highway/roadway design, planning, and engineering programs and contributed to maintaining a professional consulting relationship with the CA Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in this region. This position entails being responsible for the overall execution of the project scope of work. In addition to managing technical staff progress and performance, budgets, schedules, and deliverables, you will interact with regulatory agencies and support clients in public meetings. In this role, you will also support proposal development by writing technical scopes of work and helping prepare and participate in client presentations.
Requirements
- 12+ years of roadway and highway design experience, preferably most recently in Southern CA
- Track record of managing scopes of work, staff, budgets, schedules and delivering Southern CA highway system projects
- Thorough understanding of Caltrans, VCTC, and LA Metro project development processes
- Competency in writing scopes of work for proposals and client development efforts
- California Professional Engineer with active membership in a professional engineering society
