Road Technician
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair mostly electrical (maybe some diesel, propane, gasoline) forklift trucks on customer's premises.
Ensure that service truck has parts inventory according to established levels to avoid unnecessary travel and delay conducting repairs.
Maintain truck in good working order, keeps clean and neat inside and out and possesses adequate hand tool inventory.
Maintains up-to-date job list with respect to time, parts used, etc. to ensure accurate billing.
May service multiple numbers of customers per day.
Maintains safe work habits and good driving record.
Maintains good relations with customer representatives.
Provides input regarding training requirements to remain up-to-date on parts and equipment.
Advises customers and branch management regarding additional work required on equipment and promotes Preventative Maintenance Program.
MIN REQUIREMENTS
At least 2 years solid experience as Road Technician troubleshooting and repairing Material Handling Equipment
Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
A self started who is able to work with limited supervision
