Roadshow Coordinator recruitment
Role / Principal Accountabilities:
Independently organising of deal, non-deal roadshows, field visits as well as 1:1’s during conferences in EMEA with minimal supervision.
Duties Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility, with six other roadshow team members, for planning all above mentioned types of roadshows within EMEA suggesting most logical routings to ensure optimal use of dates allocated to the roadshow, in conjunction with knowledge of local business requirements in each country. This will include the organisation of air and ground transportation, hotel accommodation, (including adherence to corporate travel policy where appropriate), choice of venues and banqueting, handout material production and distribution, audio-visual equipment etc., and staffing the group presentations in London, the collation of meeting information and guest lists, identifying any potential problems, and the production of the final schedule in eventmanager for all roadshows and field visits to be presented to clients, bankers, research analysts and vendors respectively.
- Extensive and direct liaison at very senior level with international clients, both corporate and institutional, international suppliers and Nomura’s senior management and division’s world-wide.
- Ensure that all arrangements are made within the context of Nomura’s procedures and guidelines.
- Checking accuracy of invoices upon completion of each roadshow and the updating the department's invoice spreadsheet and relevant software.
- Possibility of European travel, travelling with client roadshows, or venue visits to monitor suppliers.
The core hours for this position are 08.00am to 18.00 although the successful applicant must be prepared to work longer hours when necessary, and often at very short notice.
Knowledge, Skill, Experience Required:
EDUCATION SKILLS
- Windows Word Intermediate/Advanced
- Excel Intermediate/Advanced
- Outlook
- PowerPoint
- Computer literate to use intranet/internet and other in-house systems
- Language(s) an advantage: fluent English essential, any further European languages would be an advantage
- Knowledge of eventmanager would be an advantage
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrable work experience in the financial sector (not required but an advantage if some roadshow experience in busy European Roadshow Department of a major global financial services company).
- Detailed logistical knowledge of Europe and Middle East, particularly the major financial centres, including venues.
- Understanding of major cultures worldwide (understanding of Japanese and Asian cultures would be an advantage).
SKILLS
- Immaculate written and spoken English.
- Numerate
- Excellent eye for detail essential
- Good communication skills and ability to liaise with people from many cultures, and at all levels.
- Ability to negotiate contracts and an understanding of customs/laws throughout Europe.
PERSONAL QUALITIES
- Ability to be self-motivated and dedicated team player, with common sense and good sense of humour.
- Constant desire to “add value” to each project to assist with the marketing effort in attracting and retaining clients.
- “Hands on” with ability to multi-task and manage many road-shows at the same time (i.e. approx. 10 roadshows at any given time)
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with good memory
