Role: Business Continuity Planning Officer (12 months Contract) recruitment

Essential Duties Responsibilities:
- Assist Head of BCP to ensure that the BCM complies with MAS regulations and report the business continuity status of business units to senior management/steering committee
- Participate in BCM strategic analyses and risk assessments.
- Development of Business Continuity Business Impact Analysis, strategy development, and plan within the established framework. Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and assist business units with determining critical business processes, acceptable recovery time periods, and resources required for the successful resumption of business operations in the event of a disruption.
- Design, development, and documentation of the assigned business units’ business continuity plans
- Develop highly functional multi-level management relationships and a strong understanding of the business assigned to support.
- Assist and lead in the planning and execution of other BCM initiatives
- Assist in the co-ordination of internal and external emergency response and crisis management
- Assist and lead in the co-ordination and conduct of organization-wide BCP exercises to integrate and validate the effectiveness of business units’ incident response and recovery capabilities, focusing on simulating worst-case scenarios having enterprise-wide impact.
- Ensure that BC requirements and standards are properly communicated, understood, and implemented by the various teams impacted.
- Ensuring change is captured and deployed to Business recovery plans including new projects, products, strategies, personnel changes, acquisitions, property etc.
Essential Skills/Experience Required:
- Should be working in similar positions with around 5 to 7 years of experience of which last 3 years should be relevant experience in Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery
- Technical awareness in underlying infrastructure and how it impacts BCP
- Project Management skills
- Certification Required: CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) or MBCP (Master of Business Continuity Project) or ABCP (Associate Business Continuity Professional)
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working in financial service industry is a plus, but not a pre-requisite
