Rollingstock Engineer

Our client is one of the largest private sector providers of maintenance services to the Rail Industry and a leader in the provision of refurbishment solutions to extend and optimise the operating life of railway Rollingstock. They currently have an immediate vacancy for a Maintenance Engineer based in their offices in Melbourne Office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide preventative, corrective and technical maintenance activities to support the maintenance of locomotives and wagons.
- Resolve reliability issues on the fleet of locomotives and wagons. ·
- Preventative Maintenance tactics development and continual improvement for optimization of fleet availability and reliability. ·
- Participate in daily reliability meeting and also meetings with the customer. ·
- Prepare maintenance and performance reports. ·
- Demonstrated commitment to safety in the workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE: ·
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; or experienced tradesperson with solid maintenance engineering experience. ·
- Rollingstock maintenance experience is a major advantage. ·
- Strong analytical and communication skills are essential. ·
- Proven ability to work unsupervised in a team environmental
