Rotating Equipment Specialist Oil Sands Mining
Location: Calgary or Edmonton/Fort McMurray

The Design Group Mining Division in collaboration with our client, a Global Leader in the Energy sector, is looking for an experienced Rotating Equipment Specialist for their Mining operation. Reporting to the Maintenance Plant Superintendent, you will be responsible for the following activities:
Key Responsibilities:
- strong focus on managing safety and leading safety initiatives
- Responsible for the efficient maintenance management of the plant mechanical rotating equipment to maximize overall availability and reliability
- Provide expertise into equipment strategy, task list, spare parts and procedure development
- Support development of maintenance training programs
- Perform trouble shooting, lead equipment failure investigation and recommend solutions
- Manage condition monitoring programs including vibration analysis, oil analysis, ultra sonic inspections, lubrication and thermography
- Interface and liaison with Operations, Planning and Engineering as required
Key Qualifications:
· Journeyman Millwright or Mechanical Technologist
· Basic knowledge and experience in predictive technologies such as oil analysis, vibration analysis, ultra sonic and thermography
· Strong analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills
· Effective oral and written communication skills
· Minimum 5 year maintenance or reliability experience with pumps, conveying systems, vibrating screens, crushers, turbines and power transmission systems
· Strong communication, team work, co-ordination, influencing, organizational skills.
· Commitment toward improving the operation and generating revenue enhancement opportunities,
· Ability to independently manage a diverse workload with changing priorities.
· Experienced with SAP and MS Office
· Ability to travel
