We are seeking an uncommon professional to join our team as a Executive Benefits Specialist

This position will work with the Executive Benefits Specialists (National and Regional) supporting the sales process by providing support in the creation, coordination, tracking, presentation, and content of the Executive Benefits proposals and reviews. This position is responsible for the entire proposal process insuring the proposal complies with appropriate regulatory guidelines and using the appropriate tools, including illustration software and needs analysis tools. The Executive Benefits Specialist, Internal will also be responsible for covering vacant territories of Executive Benefits Specialist (National and Regional) from time to time. They will enhance and retain relationships with key credit union executives and assist in the implementation of programs and products which support credit union goals.

Job Responsibilities

Relocations Allowance is available. This job is located in Madison, WI.

Collaborate with Executive Benefits Specialists and other internal sources to gather data and appropriate content to create proposals and reviews. Suggest product offerings using plan expertise to present a proposal to credit union executives.

Accountable for running illustrations and serving as the subject matter expert for all facets of the proposal and review processes.

Consult with Attorneys, Accountants, and/or Compliance Specialists to understand and manage tax, accounting, and other regulatory implications to the proposal and plan design. Implement changes to proposal and review processes based upon changing laws and regulations.

Track the life cycle of the proposal and review process in a database. Report and track success metrics of the proposal and review process.

Serve as back-up for Executive Benefits Specialists, (National and Regional) in a selling and servicing mode. This includes building and maintaining relationships with key credit union executives through product offerings, program implementations, and retention of Executive Benefit Plans and Products.

Support and service executive benefits programs within the assigned territory. Assist Executive Benefits Specialists in delivery of annual or semi-annual reviews based upon business requirements. Adhere to the established sales process by updating SalesNet and other sales tools including strong communication with the other parts of the Sales organization and other internal departments.

Monitor and document Executive Benefits Specialist proposal and plan design activities for compliance with NCUA, IRS, SEC and Insurance Industry regulations.

Provide expert advice and technical guidance for plan administration. Provide advance sales support, advanced planning, joint work, case design, for a state of the art Executive benefits Program. Work with attorneys, CPA's and other professional advisors on case design to ensure proper understanding of unique credit union system considerations.

Design, development, and implementation of strategies related to Executive Long Term Disability and Executive Long Term Care.

Collaborate with field and home office account teams to provide high quality sales service to the customer.

Prepare reports and compile data to proactively manage relationships.

Drive issue resolution as necessary and continues to monitor satisfaction through pro-active follow-up.

Identifies cross sell opportunities for further penetration of credit unions, and successful execution and audit of sales agreements.

Conduct competitor and industry research on Executive Benefits trends, strategies, and approaches.

Job Requirements

Relocations Allowance is available. This job is located in Madison, WI.

1. Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business related field.

2. 5-8 years work experience in financial services sales or sales support.

3. Foundational knowledge of non-qualified deferred compensation plans like Executive Benefits Plans including 457s, Split Dollar Plans, Long Term Care Plans, Key Person Life Insurance, Non-Qualified Plans, Supplementary Disability Plans, and Total Benefits Pre-funding, COLI / BOLI

4. Demonstrated ability to work with internal account teams, other internal departments, executives, business owners, and professional advisors (attorneys, accountants, and auditors).

5. Ability to fully understand, interpret, develop and effectively communicate complex accounting theory and practice to a multi disciplined group of product experts.

6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

7. Demonstrated customer service skills as shown in previous assignments.

8. Ability to organize, prioritize and guide work to meet deadlines.

9. FINRA Series 6 or 7, 63, and Investment Advisor Registration (Series 65 or 66), Life, Health, and Variable Insurance Licenses, or the ability to obtain within 90 days.

10. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

11. Advance Designations preferred: CLU, ChFC, CFP, CPC, QPA, or CFA

12. Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

13. Ability to travel up to 15%.
