Ruby on Rails Developer
Innovative online advertising client seeks a talented Ruby on Rails Developer who is passionate about open source tools. Technical environment makes use of Amazon Web Services, Hadoop, Greenplum database, RoR, JQuery, browser extension development (for Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox and Safari), nginx and Cherokee web servers and Cloudera's Flume. They build both consumer and client-facing software that is viewed by millions of people every month.
Qualifications:
* BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
* 3-5+ years of software development experience.
* Solid Ruby on Rails and Javascript experience.
* Experience working in an agile development environment with frequent releases and iterative feature development.
* Experience working in Linux and in running/pushing code to cloud-based infrastructures (EC2).
* Proficiency with JQuery and database design using MySQL or Postgres.
* Excellent written and veral communication skills.
