Ruby on Rails Developer at Interfolio (Washington, DC) (allows remote)

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Ruby developer to join our team and
continue to build out our product line. We are in a technological
transition time, moving from a relatively antiquated architecture and
codebase to new, faster, leaner technologies. What this means is that
there's a lot of solid and clearly defined work to be done, while also
room for creativity in solving new problems that this move frees us up
to pursue. You will not be mired in legacy code (unless you want to
be!). Instead, in the short term you will be working closely with the
Lead Software Engineer to take the business rules and user stories supporting the product features and re-implement them in the new Ruby/Sinatra/backbone.js/other framework.
After that (we expect that transition to be a few more months) it will be all clear to develop shiny new APIs and back-end interactions.

While we have a dedicated UX developer who is well-versed in Ruby, it is of course also of great benefit to have Ruby developers well-versed in front-end interactions -- bonus points if that's you!
