Ruby on Rails - RoR - Seed Funded Startup
We are a NYC based startup that is looking for RoR Developers who are passionate about programming and sports, who want to work with a fast-paced product team to change the way the athletic community accesses, manages, creates, and shares information.
If you are a Software Engineer, Software Developer or Programmer with with Open Source or Ruby experience, please read on!
What you need for this position:
- 5+ Years of experience in Software Engineering
- Strong SW Development skills in open source environments
- Solid to strong experience with Ruby on Rails
- Strong experience in Agile / Lean / SCRUM SW Development Methodologies
- BS in Computer Science or related degree. (Physics and maths nerds are very VERY welcome here!)
- Understanding of performance and scalability
- Strong capabilities with XHTML/CSS/JavaScript and MVC framework
What you'll be doing:
- Ruby on Rails SW Development
- Implement new features and functionality quickly, efficiently, and effectively
- Work with support staff to identify and resolve defects
- Write automated tests to ensure proper and consistent application operation
- Monitor application performance and optimize code and application architecture
