Russian Private Equity Fund CEO recruitment
The Fund Management Company of the Fund is a joint venture company between SBI Holdings, Inc., a global financial conglomerate headquartered in Japan, and its Russian partner, one of the leading Russian financial companies.
We expect the CEO to possess outstanding vision, strong leadership skills, and the ability to provide strategic leadership to the organization and the most efficient Fund management.
We would like to invite applications from suitably qualified candidates to be based in Moscow, Russia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the investment activities in all areas in prospective private equity ventures, for the purpose of capturing potential growth in Russian markets and will report directly to the Investment committee and Board of Directors.
The Fund Management Company is based on the premise of a going concern in the fund business and is expected to establish and run new funds successively without limiting its scope to manage only this existing Fund.
The responsibilities of the position shall include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for comprehensive Fund operations, which include sourcing and executing investment deals, organizing and managing the investment team and supporting portfolio companies to increase value, in order to achieve target fund performance
- Independently source and analyze promising investment opportunities in the private equity (unquoted) asset class, conduct evaluations and due diligence processes on investment proposals, and prepare investment recommendations to the Investment Committee
- Continuous performance monitoring of investee companies in the investment portfolio and formulating recommendations to the Investment Committee to achieve the objectives of the Fund
- Structuring and negotiating the terms and structure of new investments as well as divestment options in the best interests of the managed Fund portfolio
- Establishment of one or more new funds, and related marketing and fundraising
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- Candidates should be a native or fluent speaker of Russian and English
- Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in Senior Management at a banking/finance/investment company, 5 years of PE fund experience
- Candidates should have relevant working experience and a proven track record in private equity, corporate finance, investment management, investment analysis and or/regional investments
- Strong contacts and well-known in the Russian financial industry as well as a deep understanding of the practices peculiar to the Russia
- Possess excellent communication skills and relationship management skills
- Candidate should commit full-time to this job
