RWA Controller

The Regulatory team are responsible for RWA/capital reporting and analysis globally across GBM. As specialists in this field the team are in a unique position to bridge both finance and risk disciplines in order to meet reporting obligations and support delivery of business objectives.
In response to the change driven by Regulatory pressures and the exceptional demand for support from the Front Office, GBM Finance is creating an RWA Control Function with responsibility for:

-Establishing a dedicated Front Office interface with the major business lines.
-Ensuring an effective and robust RWA Explain capability exists across the Regulatory Landscape.
-Supporting forward looking capital planning activity and the assessment of future Regulatory changes in conjunction with the other specialist teams in the function.
Specific requirements of this role will include: -
-To understand the drivers of business capital usage across different risk types for your business partner.
-Produce weekly / monthly capital reports and explain key movements.
-Detailed monthly reviews on a face to face basis with the business to ensure ?sign off? of figures
-To understand the impact of business plans on capital positions. Review business capital forecasts, challenge business demands and ensure capital usage is consistent with other forecast data

Requirements
Business knowledge
-Strong communication skills and experience in dealing with the banking business functions
-In depth Basel 2 Regulatory reporting experience and awareness of Basel 3 changes.
-Strong knowledge of Banking and Trade Financing products/systems.
-Financial control / Reporting experience.
-Track record in improving reporting and control processes.
-Qualified accountant CIMA/ACA/ACCA
-Good academics 2:1 degree
