Safety Administrative Assistant Job in Calgary, Alberta Canada
Our client, a large energy services provider, is currently looking for a Safety Administrative Assistant to join their team in their southeast office on a temporary contract basis, commencing immediately until the end of April 2012.
Your responsibilities will be:
· Tracking safety issues to ensure they are corrected and the proper departments are made aware of the issues
· Developing and preparing safety statistical reporting
· Reviewing injury documentation to ensure necessary documentation is received and accurate
· Ensuring supporting documentation for modified work is properly signed and received after initial assessment
· Completing WCB reports
· Proactively working with injured workers to get them back to Full Return to Work status
· Coordinating modified workers with the different departments
· Maintaining incident files and ensuring their clarity and organization
· Maintaining rig safety files which include weekly and monthly safety meetings, OHS, and regulatory inspections
Qualifications:
· 1-3 years experience in health and safety administration
· Educational background in Health Safety will be an asset
· Efficient in Microsoft office
· Formal safety training would be an asset
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Creative problem solving skills
