For Vopak Netherlands we are looking for a Safety Advisor with a (Chemical) Engineering background.
Functie
Purpose of the position
Responsible for providing management with professional expertise and advise on safety related matters not captured in policies and procedures as well as advising the organization in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
Tasks responsibilities
- Perform HAZOPS.
- Review and monitor Safety and Health plans.
- Lead safety and security related improvement projects.
- Gather and analyze data on root causes of SHEQ-incidents.
- Develop a SHEQ-management and reporting system and register all SHEQ-related activities.
- Perform internal audits and inspections on SHEQ-related subjects. Supervise audits performed by external parties.
- Ensure the development, sharing and retention of SHEQ-knowledge, requirements and best practices.

Functie eisen
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience in a safety security position. Preferably in a related industry
- Experience with process technology, HAZOPs and Safety and Health plans
- Fluent in English and Dutch
- An assessment may be part of the recruitment procedure
