Safety and Remediation Administrative Assistant

We currently have an opportunity for a Safety and Remediation Administrative Assistant in Green Bay, WI. The essential duties responsibilities of the position are: Work under the direction of a Sr. ESQ Scientist, ensuring implementation of ESQ programs. • Develop an understanding of the limitations, advantages and costs of health and safety equipment, as well as new designs/equipment. • Coordination and organization of the daily waste tracking documentation. • Heavy administrative duties • Knowledge of Environmental Occupational Health Safety and Quality standards and regulations. • Ensure proper use of protective equipment, use monitoring instruments and interpret results; identify health and safety hazards and recommend corrective actions; implement decontamination procedures; investigate injuries, illnesses and incidents; implement emergency procedures; conduct safety briefings and on-site staff training. • Assist with implementing industrial hygiene surveys. • Perform various other tasks as assigned.

The Education Experience Requirements: Work experience can be substituted for education above high school at 2 years of directly applicable experience for 1 year of schooling. • Associates degree or Technical degree from an accredited institution with a focus in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Health Physics, Science, Engineering or a related field. • 1-3 years minimum of applicable administration experience • 3-5 years of experience preferred • Waste Management tracking and coordination experience highly preferred • 40 hour HAZWOPER highly preferred.

Licenses, Certifications Other Skills: PC, Microsoft Office Suite knowledge required • Valid driver’s license • Familiarity with Environmental Health Safety, Quality regulations and standards • Frequent travel (more than 25%).
