The Richmond Group's Chemical Technology division has recently been engaged by an established and leading manufacturer of specialty chemicals located in the Virginia that is seeking a Safety Engineer to develop, implement and maintain programs and strategies that lead to safe and productive operations
This organization has a very strong commitment to improving the operations of this site which will allow them to take advantage of expanding business opportunities In this highly crucial role, you will be challenged and have the opportunity to grow and contribute to success of a well-established facility, plus transition the plant to a higher level of operational performance which will increase production by improving quality and reliability of processes.
Growth of this facility is projected to remain on a positive trend for several years. Your contributions will promote the quality of new products, the safety of workers and equipment, and minimize the environmental impacts of the plant’s operations.
In order to be qualified candidates must possess the following:
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline (Chemical or Safety preferred)
- A minimum of 8+ years of proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably experience with safety programs in a commercial scale chemical manufacturing
- Experience working collaboratively with multiple department heads or managers, providing quality service and safety support
- Experience inspecting facilities for potential hazards, including equipment, environmental, construction, and ensuring operations are in compliance with regulations.
