Safety Manager / Project Engineer Job in Denver 80229, Colorado Us

Systems Contractors Inc., A  Denver, Co. Based company is seeking a quality individual to fill our Project Engineer position. The Project is located in Tioga, N.D.  and is projected to be complete in March of 2012. This is a permanent position for individuals that show they can perform the following duties efficiently.

 

Job duties:

The project engineer will be directly involved as the  site Safety Officer. In addition, the P.E. is responsible for the  RFI process, Change order process,  and Quality Assurance of the project.

 

Safety Officer- Safety is Paramount, The P.E. will work closely with the site foreman to ensure that the site specific plan, developed by the P.M and Safety manager is followed.  Daily reports will be submitted to both the Safety manger and the P.M. The P.E. will be responsible for ensuring that all safety documentation is completed and submitted. (daily inspections, investigations, Task reviews, etc.)

 

RFI Process- The Project engineer (P.E.) will  work closely with both the project Foreman and Project Manger (P.M.) to submit, track and log all RFI’s.

 

Change Order process- The project engineer will work closely with the P.M. to submit and log all change orders that result from the RFI process.

 

Quality Assurance: The P.E. will be required to regularly inspect completed work to ensure that it has been performed in accordance within the project specifications and manufacturers prints. Reports of these inspections will be completed and submitted to the P.M. and the Q.A. manager

 

Required Skills

 

Strong interpersonal skills a must for development of relationships between owner and internal personnel

Must have working knowledge of word, Exel, Microsoft Project.

Working knowledge of the RFI and change order process and must.

Minimum of 10 hour OSHA safety card required, prefer 30 hour.

Ability to read and understand prints a must.

Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

Self motivator, strong time management skills
