Job Title:                    SAI Business Partner (National)

Location:                    Everett, MA
 

General Position Summary Responsibilities:

 

The SAI Business Partner reports to the Process Improvement Manager. The SAI Business Partner serves as an expert of the Scrap Management System (SAI), while ensuring that all of his/her efforts are compliant with the company Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. The SAI Business Partner must possess knowledge of training, administrative support, and reporting both canned and ad hoc.

 

This position operates under flexible parameters. The primary goal of this position is to achieve excellence in all facets of the position.  Providing the highest quality product safely, effectively and efficiently decreases accidents and errors and increase profits.

 

Essential Functions

 

1)      Environmental and Health Safety (HS)

a)      Strictly adheres to all Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

b)      Provides a safe environment for all employees, customers and visitors.

 

2)      Operational Performance Best Business Practices

a)      Become completely conversant with all technical/operational aspects of the Scrap Management System within an accelerated timeframe

b)      Learn the operations, commercial and logistics of the business to be able to optimize the capabilities the SMS system.

c)      Understand and identify more efficient work processes, working closely with the Continuous Improvement team to resolve

d)      Function as program leader to manage national SMS projects

e)      Act as single point of contact for all SMS related inquiries from the regional SAI Business Partners

f)        Work with new acquisitions to transition users through training programs and existing processes

g)      Provide documentation for training, modifications, and solutions in regards to the Scrap Management System

h)      Work in developing/implementing a training strategic plan for a national roll-out

i)        Support all departments interacting with the SMS: Operations, Commercial, and Accounting

j)        Develop custom ad-hoc reporting from the database within the SMS using Crystal Reports or Oracle Reporting
