As a leading importer and national distributor of premium seafood items, Darik Enterprises is seeking a sales representative for its Lake Success, New York location. Prospective accounts include national restaurant chains, foodservice distributors, cruise lines and other hospitality venues.
Ideal candidates will possess sales related experience either within the food/beverage industry or another field with similar sales dynamics. Job offers medical, 401K and sales commissions. Base salary commensurate with experience.
Job Purpose:
Serves customers by selling products; meeting customer needs.
Duties:
* Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets.
* Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature. Larger orders will require the ability to make professional business proposals and negotiation.
* Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports and weekly work plans.
* Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, etc.
* Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
* Monitors customers' A/R balances and performs necessary follow-up through collection.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
