Sales Account Manager – Near Patient Testing

Roche Professional Diagnostics -POL (Physician Office Laboratory) offers products and services for diagnostic testing by medical professionals in physician offices and outpatient clinics, as well as for patient self-testing. We develop a variety of diagnostics tools that are easy to use and provide fast results, such as portable urine analyzers, small benchtop clinical chemistry analyzers that offer a broad test menu, and CoaguChek® handheld anticoagulation monitors, which are used to test blood clotting time for patients on Coumadin® therapy.

As an Account Manager for the PD - POL, Near Patient Testing group -NPT, you will be responsible for growing market share and exceeding sales goals for the CoaguChek product line. In this role, you will use your industry experience and strategic thinking to identify and develop account plans and to deliver the differentiating message and quantifiable economic value for Roche's products and services, by overcoming and managing objections, and negotiating to obtain sales.
You will be accountable for delivering "Go To Market" strategies and tactics that result in meeting or exceeding all sales and profitability goals in assigned physician offices, clinic settings, home health, long term care facilities, and by leveraging strong distribution relationships within your assigned territory. To be successful in this role, you will:
- Implement strategic initiatives and plans to facilitate sales process and productivity in your assigned geographical area.
- Conduct and organize necessary territory planning and routing for efficiency.
- Use your consultative skills to sell the primary differentiation of Roche products, overcome and manage objections, and negotiate to obtain sales.
- Generate demand and maximize product awareness by working with and providing education and information to customers.
- Work cross functionally with internal colleagues and peers to share information and best practices while remaining actively involved in industry/customer organizations that impact business.
Territory: Bronx, northeast and northwest Manhattan. Seeking for candidates located ideally in White Plains, Yonkers, or within 50 miles radius north of Manhattan.
You also
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, life science or related field.
- Have 5+ years of experience in medical devices or hospital sales. Previous experience with distributors is desired.
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit, strong business acumen, and a desire to conquer complex sales processes.
- Have successful negotiation, strategic planning and organizational skills.
- Have strong oral and written communication skills including making impactful presentations.
- Have a strong business acumen, excellent at territory management and problem solving skills.
- Are able to work in a regulated environment.
- Are knowledgeable of technical and market issues/factors.
- Are proficient in Microsoft office software.
- Are willing to travel 50% overnight
