Sales Accountant recruitment

Due to growth a newly created position has become available working for an ASX listed mining company in their CBD offices.

Reporting to a Senior Project Accountant you will have ownership for providing sales management services to senior management with a particular focus on accounting for commodity sales and the commodity sale process.

A primary objective for your role will be to develop and implement sales accounting processes and procedures including systems to support sales invoicing. You will also manage aspects of treasury including reconciling USD bank accounts, managing conversion of funds and implementing hedging policies. Furthermore you will play a key role in the shipping process, liaising with shipping companies and ensuring shipping documentation is complete.

This is a varied role which will give you exposure to the export side of the business, calculation of royalties, treasury, day to day accounting and business improvement initiatives.

It is likely that you will offer several years experience in a varied management / financial accounting position with exposure to royalties and treasury in particular. Successful candidates are also likely to offer experience managing shipping within their previous roles including the liaison with shipping companies.
