Sales Administrator/Telesales Job in Glasgow, Scotland UK
An exciting opportunity has arrived from our established client based in Glasgow for an experienced Sales Administrator/Telesales assistant.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the UK Sales Manager and working within the UK sales team (function), the job holder will provide professional sales support.
Specifically through:
Lead management
• Pre-qualifying and allocating leads
• Preparing desktop surveys for sales team
• Preparing customer estimates
Lead Generation
• Identifying prospective customers through external database searching and linking with organisations.
• Cold calling prospects (telephone)
Database Management
• Maintaining customer database
• Enlarging database
• Building lists of new target groups and developing database
• Preparing mailing lists
• Providing administrative support for mailing campaigns
Events Management
• Coordinating and supporting clients presence at exhibitions, including:
Booking and handling logistics and travel arrangements for trade shows, exhibitions, open days etc.
Assisting sales team on trade stands
Other administrative support duties as required by the Sales function
The successful applicant will ideally:
• Have demonstrable varied practical administrative experience, preferably within a sales environment
• Have a good telephone manner and customer focus
• Have demonstrable experience of working in a sales target driven environment
• Have a proven track record to work toward tight deadlines with excellent organisational and time management skills
• Be proficient in computer skills including full command of Microsoft Office suite of programmes (eg Word; Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Practical experience in using CRM systems
• Be well organised with a structured approach to tasks and attention to detail
• Have the ability to consistently and appropriately act on own initiative, demonstrating strong common sense and judgement
