Gentworks is a well established and fast growing B2B ecommerce company selling sanitary ware and related products through our busy websites, primarily to the trade. Water saving products and services are more than 50% of revenues.
We have a vacancy for an experienced
Sales Advisor/Assistant Manager to work as part of a small team at our rural location near Thame, Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will have the potential and drive to become Sales Manager within 1 to 2 years. This is an opportunity to play a key part in growing a company that has vision, ambition and integrity.
Start date of 3rd Jan 2012. Normal working hours: 09:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday.
This role involves:
- taking daily personal responsibility for the delivery of exceptional service to our customers, both large and small
- advising customers, over the telephone and via email, on the best choice of products for their needs - building a relationship based on professionalism, integrity and friendliness
- providing additional product information and quotes, on customer request
- processing orders and personally 'seeing them through' to the end of the delivery process, including packing and despatch from our warehouse and/or organising on-time despatch and delivery via our business partners
- co-ordinating deliveries and keeping customers informed
To apply for this role, you will need to have:
- previous experience of sanitary ware and/or plumbing fitting sales in a pressured environment
- ability to ascertain and understand customer needs
- clear and effective communications skills, both written and verbal
- determination to understand products, and their applications, in order to provide well-informed advice
- ability to organise own workload but work within a team environment, supporting others as you would wish to be supported (bonuses are based upon team performance)
- a good understanding of business processes
- flexible approach and the ability to adapt effectively to changes
- self motivation with the drive to achieve required standards and goals
- ability to confidently use Microsoft Office applications, with Excel expertise being a particular advantage.
