Sales Analyst, Global Channels – Prague

Our client is a leading provider of Internet and mobile security with corporate offices in Europe, US and AsiaPac.

Reports to: Finance Partner for Global Channel Sales

Cooperates with Sales analysts and VPs in US, UK and ROW territories.

Objective (Description)

To develop a framework for analysing current performance of Traditional Channels at an extremely detailed level, puling data from both internal and external sources, and using it to highlight areas of concern to the SVP of Global Sales and forward-forecasting on a rolling 12 month basis.

To succeed in this role you must be able to demonstrate a strong background  in commercial management or financial management / forecasting, ideally gained within a service or sales based environment

Responsibilities/Duties

• Develop a rolling twelve month forecast methodology for traditional channel sales using historic trending and current performance, taking account of factors such as geography, reseller numbers, product lines, license length, discount level etc.

• Maintain weekly dashboards measuring performance against external and internal targets

• Provide weekly updates on to be agreed key drivers and sensitivity analysis thereon

• Work with local analysts and VPs to ensure compliance with global performance measurement requirments and understanding of local reporting  anomoloies

• Provide ad-hoc analysis to the SVP of Global Sales

• Develop approved framework for tracking performance of new product lines, and providing  regular updates thereon.

Experience and Expertise

Essential

• Degree level (or equivalent) education.

• At least 4 years experience in a similar role, setting up analytical tools and models- ideally in fast moving technology driven environment.

• A strong financial background

• Clear experience of planning processes, data analysis  and presentation with Excel (advanced)and PowerPoint (advanced)

• Excellent analytical skills. Well developed verbal and written communication skills.

• Self-starter with confidence and ability to take the initiative when required and work to demanding deadlines.

• Team player – strong communicator who can work through and with virtual teams and can prioritise and deliver under pressure.

•  Fluent English

Desirable

• Able to demonstrate good commercial awareness and an understanding of the IT / AV market

• Finance-related qualification

Regular reviews with the Finance Partner for Global Channel Sales and feedback from the SVP of Global Sales.
