Our headquarters for European operations are located in Dudelange, GD of Luxembourg.

 

John Zink's Vapour Control Systems group offers Vapour Recovery and Combustion solutions for the petroleum and chemical industry to safely and effectively reduce VOC emissions. Typical emission sources include storage tank vents, truck loading racks, rail car loading facilities, marine terminals, process vents and tank cleaning/degassing operations.

Owing to strong industry demand and expansion, the Vapour Control Systems group is looking for one:

 

 

Sales Application Engineer (m/f)

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Þ      Develop and maintain a long term profitable relationship with the customers in the given territory to promote John Zink products and identifies ways to anticipate customers needs.

Þ      Conduct market research to identify new business developments and trends as well as competitor activity.

Þ      Maintains and improves technical expertise for his given product line

Þ      Prepare technical and commercial proposals within the given time frame

Þ      Qualify opportunities as good uses of John Zink’s limited application resources (validity of project, customer’s buying history and habits, payment history of the customer, credit, project timing, funding, and scope).

Þ      Communicate customers’ expectations to the business group.

Þ      Provide business groups, product development and sales management with sound market trends for existing product improvement and new product development.

Þ      Understand and define commercial constraints, such as sourcing restrictions, local content requirements, budget limits, typical terms, potential competitors, decision-making process.

Þ      Organize and/or participate in customer visits, business group product promotion seminars, exhibitions.

 

 

Requirements:

 

Þ      Academic qualifications to the standard of Degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.

Þ      Minimum 2 years in a relevant industrial experience, ideally in vapour control and combustion.

Þ      Maturity, pragmatism, self sufficiency and team spirit are essential qualities to succeed in this fast moving, dynamic environment.

Þ      Fluent in English, knowledge of any additional language will be valued.

Þ      Exposure and experience of standards desirable.

Þ      Knowledge of manufacturing systems is a plus.
