Sales Assistant H/F recruitment

Exane BNP Paribas is the joint European Cash Brokerage business of Exane and BNP Paribas.
Exane provides institutional clients with research, sales and execution on European equities under the Exane BNP Paribas brand name, which was created in 2004 as part of the agreement signed with BNP Paribas.

With 110 analysts covering more than 600 European stocks and working closely with a 90-strong sales and sales-trading team, the group benefits from critical mass and has acknowledged expertise in Equity Research, in which it continues to pursue a sustained and ambitious investment policy.

Exane BNP Paribas has established a strong position on European Equities (no. 7 in Pan-European Equity Sector Research in the Extel Survey 2011) and serves more than 1,200 institutional investors worldwide through a network of 11 offices in Paris, London, Brussels, Geneva, Frankfurt, Madrid, Milan, Stockholm, Zurich, New York and Singapore.

As a member of the Cash Equity business, you will report directly to an experienced Equity Sales person and work with the sales team.

Your tasks will include:

- Investigating and summarising general and financial information (ahead of the morning meeting)
- Summing up reports for institutional clients
- Researching value-added information for incisive reports for investors
- Helping to set-up proprietary databases and valuation comparables
- Answering client calls in the morning.
- Screening financial and other data
- Logging client acceptances to Research Lunches and attending lunches when Sales staff may not be available.
- Preparing written summaries of lunch meetings and teach-ins.
- Chasing and collating meeting feedback from small/midcap clients.
- Occasional translation of emails for the desk team (English to French).
- General support tasks (document research, copying, etc.).
- Monitoring international news.
- Statistical tracking of publications

- You are a student (last year of studies or soon graduated) majoring in Finance at a leading management or engineering school.
- You are seeking a 6 or 12-month internship
- You have a solid working knowledge of accounting and financial techniques / valuation models / multiples
- You are fluent in English
- You have a strong interest in the Financial Markets
