Callahan Associates, an established industry expert for the past 25 years, seeks driven, high-performing sales individuals to lead expansion across 2012, and beyond.  

Callahan Associates is a Washington D.C. based consultancy/data provider focused on the growing Credit Union industry.  The organization is looking to develop both its consultative business, as well as its data/analytics business through direct sales efforts to CEO/CFO level executives at over 7,000 Financial Institutions, as well as 1,000 industry suppliers.

The Sales Associate will report into the Vice President of Sales Client Management and will be responsible for driving sales activity across a nation-wide sales territory that is largely untapped.

Product focus is on Callahan’s primary revenue drivers across our Data Analytics group.  Sales conservations will target CEO and CFO level individuals and require consultative approach to understand organizational needs and how to apply product portfolio to organizational needs.

We seek candidates with the following:

- Self Starter – our New Product Development efforts indicate there is a very generously sized market for our product across the coming years.  The Sales Associate will have chance to grow territory without any legacy constraint.  Put another way, unchartered territory provides tremendous upside

- Consultative Approach – candidate will have a number of products to use in sales process and fit into CEO/CFO level needs.  Sales can range from a single product sale to a solutions-oriented bundle, to be uncovered during sales calls

- Entrepreneurial Background – as we expand into new markets, we will rely heavily on market feedback generated by candidate to guide efforts

- Software Product Background – not a must, but certainly preferred

- Financial Services Background – again, not a must, but desirable

- 2-5 Years – Ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of inside sales success encompassing the above points and ability to manage high volume sales pipeline

- Demonstrated Results – across Callahan’s 25 years in the industry, its reputation has led the way.  We seek individuals who will maintain this high brand reputation in the marketplace via strong sales track record

Responsibilities

- Maintain consistent performance by meeting monthly sales visit numbers and quarterly/annual revenue numbers

- Leverage Marketing-generated leads and manage prospects through sales cycle to close via consultative sales process and Web Demonstrations

- In addition to leveraging provided leads, cultivate territory to initiate discussions with CEO/CFO’s and introduce product bundle

- Understand, and stay on top of, evolving market/regulatory landscape and use insights to drive conversation/urgency within prospect organizations

This position will also design and implement lead generation lists from existing and potential client relationships; coordinate with the internal marketing team to create promotions for distribution through multiple channels and media; provide client support for products, to include: answering questions and driving usage; analyze internal and external client information to increase sales and customer service; and identify new market opportunities and solutions.

We seek a dynamic and focused individual with 2+ years of proven sales experience. Solid background in building and maintaining client relationships needed. Experience in B2B sales to executives in retail financial services executives a plus.
