Sales Associate, Internal Wholesaler recruitment
The Sales Associate, Internal Wholesaler has the responsibility of supporting the front-end sales staff of an asset management firm.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with distributors and support the external sales effort
- Making proactive sales calls to Financial Advisors and RIAs and providing excellent client service
- Conducting industry research and competitive analysis in support of our sales efforts. Becoming part of a “feedback loop” which includes senior management, Portfolio Managers and External Wholesalers regarding competition, fees, market trends, etc.
- Accepting in-bound calls from Financial Advisors and answering any operational, strategy or firm-related questions. For more complex issues, candidate must be resourceful and comfortable interfacing with various people within the firm to achieve resolution.
- Prospecting as a means of establishing new relationships
- Becoming conversant in all of the firm's strategies and identifying sales opportunities
- Regular follow-up on sales leads generated by team
- Overseeing new account set-up
- Providing additional support to the Marketing Team in the compilation of marketing and sales material if needed
Professional Qualifications and Characteristics:
- 2-5 years of client-service/retail sales experience
- Securities license required (preferably Series 6 or 7).
- High caliber individual with exceptional communication skills and the personality to develop long-term relationships with clients.
- Must have the focus and organizational skill set to carry out any administrative functions in support of the team
- Strong quantitative, writing and proof-reading skills
- Advanced proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel required
- Familiarity with CRM systems or Morningstar Principia Pro a bonus
