THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for a Sales Associate to join our Melbourne team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Sales Marketing teams, assisting with requests for proposals, assembling marketing/sales presentation materials and updating marketing material as required. The jobholder will also assist in regular preparation of market research and competitor analysis as well as assisting the sales team in the production of sales performance reports.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provides support to Sales and Marketing Staff by interacting frequently with word processing, graphics, printing and the Sales Staff to coordinate the Unit’s needs. Develops, updates, customizes and assembles Marketing and Sales materials for Client/Prospect presentations or meetings

2. Assists with responses to Requests for Proposals and in developing routine Fee Proposals.

3. Assists in routine interpretation of market research and competitor information.

4. Assists in coordinating the arrangements for Seminars, Meetings and Conferences sponsored for Bank Clients and Prospects.

5. Coordinates mass mailing lists and the mailing of materials to Prospective Clients.

6. Obtains competitor information for Marketing Research and Sales Staff as requested.

7. Interacts on an ongoing basis with partners in Operations and Product Areas to obtain current information on products and services to support the sales efforts.

8. Provides support to Sales Staff for existing Client Reviews and re-bid situations, identifying and providing the information to respond to a fee review.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS EXPERIENCE

• 2 years of related sales support experience in financial industry, asset management or investment banking.

• Knowledge of Financial Products and Services and basic Marketing Concepts obtained through related work experience.

• Experience with Fee Proposals and develop the Marketing materials is essential.

• Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Good working knowledge of MS Office (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc). Personal Computer Skills are needed to develop the Sales Tools.
