Sales Associate – UK recruitment

 Primary responsibilities:

• Identify new business opportunities with institutional investors and other accounts, , including tracking new PRI signatories on a regular basis

• Initiate contact with new business opportunities and qualify their interest in GMI Ratings

• Schedule online and in-person meetings and presentations for the Executive Director

• Help prepare presentations for sales calls, conferences and online meetings

• Set up trial accounts as requested

• Follow up on trial accounts as requested

• Follow up with new business opportunities as requested

• Help plan GMI Ratings events in Europe

• Represent GMI at targeted industry events

• Develop and maintain relationships with key pension consultants, portfolio management systems, brokers, global custody banks and other businesses that could serve as a source of leads

• Help maintain relationships with organizations such as the ICGN, UKSIF, Eurosif, Style Research and the CFA Institute to promote GMI Ratings through educational seminars

• Work with marketing and communications staff to develop support materials and sales campaigns

• Provide market and product feedback to product development and product management staff

• Provide sales, market and competitive feedback to assist with strategic and tactical decisions in support of sales growth

• Provide administrative support as requested, including preparation of sales kits and maintaining accurate records of all sales leads and customers in Salesforce

• Other duties as assigned

Mandatory requirements:

• 5 plus years proven experience generating sales leads for investment research or financial services / analytics / software / research platform companies

• Book of contacts at senior levels in targeted markets

• Knowledge of and experience in selling investment research products and quantitative or analytical models for equities and/or fixed income

• Excellent communication skills

• Salesforce experience

• College degree

Desirable requirements:

• Bilingual or multilingual

• Experience with entrepreneurial or early stage firms

• Work experience within the asset management industry

• Familiarity with ESG and accounting issues

• Self-starter, highly motivated, able to work without a high level of direct supervision

• Experience working with portfolio managers or with portfolio analytics
