Conn’s is a recognizable and regional retailer of televisions, appliances, consumer electronics, home furniture, and lawn/garden equipment. Compensation…

·          Associates start on an hourly rate plus commissions, once the sales associates meet their first month sales target, they will become eligible to move to the commission program where you can earn much higher commissions rates.  

·          Product Commissions range from 1 – 10%.   

·          Commissions are also paid on the sales of RSA (Repair Service Agreements), Product Replacement Plan Insurance and Credit Insurance (property, job loss, etc.) sales. These rates are available at the stores and may fluctuate periodically. 

·          Incentives (or spiffs) may be available but will vary by product and are determined by the manufacturers. 


Position Details…

·          Experienced Sales Representatives thrive in our organization and make incredible income.  However, experience in sales is not necessary, candidates that are self directed and motivated will pick up quickly and can become successful in a short period of time.    Conn’s has outstanding advancement opportunities and Manager–In-Training (MIT) programs. 

·          Sales Associates must enjoy working with a diverse clientele and have outstanding customer service skills. 

·          Sales Associates should have a sense of humor and a charming personality. 

·          Associates must have outstanding communication skills and be able to make clear presentations and demonstrate Conn’s products.

 ·          Full-time Sales Associates are expected to sell a minimum of $50,000 per month. 

·          Associates must be computer literate so that they can enter sales invoices, credit applications and other pertinent information into the computer system. 

·          Sales Associates should have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.

Full-time Associates must be able to work Conn’s retail schedule, which includes working at least three weekends each month, three evenings to close (10 PM) each week and most major holidays (Conn’s is closed on Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving).  The typical workweek is 40 hours. Associates must be able to attend a one to two week training (M-F, 8-5) at our HR Dallas office located at 4910 McEwen, Dallas, 75244.

·          Sales Associates are required to assist with merchandising the store and will be assigned an area or product line to maintain.  This will include displaying product, cleaning displayed product, tagging merchandise and performing other duties as required to keep the store in “ready to sell” condition.

·          Associates are required to escort the customer and carry or transport purchased products that are taken from the store to customers’ vehicles.

 Full Time Associates (minimum 40 hours per week) are eligible for Conn’s Health and Welfare Benefits on the first of the month following three months of continuous service.  These benefits include medical, dental, vision, short long term disability, life insurance and more.  Most benefits require employee contributions and employees can select the benefits that best fit their personal needs. Vacation eligibility is one week after one year of service, two weeks after two years of service and three weeks after five years of service.  In addition, after one year of service, eligible employees may join Conn’s 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, and Conn’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
