Approximately 20 year old, privately held metal finishing business located in the DFW Metroplex.

 

Company Description

 

Company provides a variety of metal finishing processes including powder coating and electroplating.

Industries served include aerospace, electronics, telecommunications, automotive, and medical.

 

Reporting Relationship

 

This position will report to the Director of Sales.

 

Educational Requirement

 

An undergraduate degree in an Engineering or Business discipline is preferred. Significant consideration will be given to a candidate’s business experience and accomplishments.

 

Basic Responsibilities

 

This position is responsible for driving growth of the company in the end user and metal fabrication areas by increasing revenues through customer development in both markets. The successful candidate will have the ultimate responsibility for new business development and providing customer service to new and ultimately existing customers.

 

The primary focus will be on new customer growth preferably in segments that outsource metal finishing.  Some travel required as growth is focused locally but also by expanding geographic reach to approximately 200 miles from our facility.

 

Professional Characteristics and Experience:

 

The successful candidate will have the following characteristics and experience:

 

·         Minimum 5-7 years as a high-energy sales professional who proactively created new opportunities in either the industrial or metals fabrication market or the related portion in the industries identified above.

·         Verifiable track record building a successful sales program.

·         Develop and execute a clear sales growth plan that increases revenues and margins consistent within the company’s business plan.

·         Ability to work within various levels of prospects and customers – from purchasing personnel to senior management—track record of building long term relationships.

·         Skilled at identifying and developing prospects.

·         An entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm.  A strong customer-focused individual would do very well in this environment.

·         An understanding of metal finishing operations is extremely beneficial. However company will provide necessary technical training.

 

Compensation

 

A base salary with strong incentive program based on success. Increasing commission rate upon reaching certain sales levels.
