Sales Business Manager- Automotive
Based in Gothenburg
The Sales Business Development Manager (SBDM) is an individual contributor role within the PTC sales organization and functions as an integral part of the PTC account team responsible for delivering business value to automotive customers through their purchase, implementation and adoption of PTC technologies.
The SBDM role combines automotive industry knowledge, product development expertise, and business acumen to
· Understand vertical market strategies and business drivers
· Identify and understand specific customer strategies, business initiatives, and key business processes
· Assess and understand the nature of customer business needs and associated solution requirements
· Develop and articulate PTC‟s value proposition, as a unique value roadmap, to meet the identified customer business needs
· Identify, assess and calculate opportunities for customer ROI within the context of the unique customer value roadmap
The BDM, as part of the PTC account team, will ensure that the proper focus is given to a customer's strategic business initiatives, and will lead in identification of the enabling PTC technologies required to achieve them. The BDM will assist in the preparation of competitive positioning needed throughout the sales process to ensure a PTC sales win.
The BDM is expected to perform complex business and value assessment activities required to support a sales engagement from initial discussions through „political‟, „technical‟, „value‟ and „commercial‟ closure. These activities include taking ownership as the lead in formulating and presenting the value propositions of PTC solutions as relevant to the highest-level initiatives of the
customer. The BDM will continually work to build a „trusted advisor‟ relationship status with key customer business leaders and PLM stakeholders.
The BDM is proactive in the ongoing education of the PTC Sales Team and the extended PTC ecosystem on matters of
· customer business value and process impact
· customer advocacy regarding PLM scope, capabilities, and usability
· potential enhancements to the product line to create new selling opportunities
The BDM should be capable of handling a project leadership role in a pre-sales assessment activity that involves the coordination of multiple PTC business development and technical resources working at various global customer locations in support of assessment and validation activities.

· Significant experience in the manufacturing sector

· Process design/ re-engineering
· Fluency in English and Swedish
· Third level university degree
· Proven track record of success with executives on driving new business initiatives
