Sales, Client Service and Marketing Associate recruitment

Position Overview:

The London based position brings strong communication and project management skills to support Acadian’s marketing/sales and client service process.  This is a very fast paced role that is a direct route into institutional investment sales/marketing and client service.   The role is two dimensional, partnering with both the head of Acadian’s global distribution team and the European client service team. Aspects of this role include: prepare meeting materials, communicating with prospects and clients, writing meeting notes, executing follow up, and generally ensuring the sales and client service message is as effective as it can be.  Work ethic, communication skills, commitment, interest in finance and a passion to succeed are the key attributes of the successful candidate. In addition to these responsibilities, there will be an element of office support activities including covering the receptionist desk and printing, binding and shipping of marketing materials for meetings taking place in Europe.

Responsibilities:

Increase the effectiveness of the sales, client service and consultant team.  Specific tasks will include:

• Schedule and track meetings and conference calls in conjunction with sales and client service teams. Coordinate required resources for meetings such as ordering lunch and technical requirements

• Attend meetings, write meeting notes and ensure follow-up is completed

• Oversee and prepare meeting materials

• Write/coordinate letters, some qualitative analysis and other prospect and client communications

• Ensure effective internal communication on prospects, clients and consultants

• Ensure prompt follow up to open issues

• Work efficiently with internal groups to ensure all reporting requirements are met and internal management systems are current

• Cover the reception desk, including answering incoming calls and receiving visitors.

• Co-ordinate requests for, and organize, office supplies.

• Coordinate with building management for facilities/building maintenance.

• Print and bind all marketing and preparation materials for European meetings

Qualifications:

• Extremely strong communication skills, both written and verbal.   

• An accomplished independent worker, but still possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of colleagues in a fast-paced environment. 

• A dedicated, energetic and confident individual who knows and loves the financial industry and seeks a long-term career path into institutional sales, client service or consultant relations.

• Bachelor’s degree is required.

• IMC preferable and working towards the CFA is desirable.

• Well organized and strong attention to detail.

• Strong service orientation.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
