Job Description

Assist in marketing a global macro hedge fund and traditional long only products, including client servicing. 

The candidate will develop and execute proactive, creative and ongoing contact initiatives intended to identify and satisfy existing and potential investors’ needs.

The investment firm is in a very exciting growth phase and is seeking a motivated candidate.

Base Salary and Bonus

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•Initiate and aid in asset raising projects that may include identifying and prospecting potential relationships with consultants, family offices, RIAs and fund of funds

•Set-up calls/meetings with qualified prospects for portfolio managers/research analysts 

•Maintain a prospect list, track progress and coordinate follow up

•Complete RFPs, questionnaires and ad-hoc information requests for prospective investors that may require additional research, analysis, creativity and judgment

•Writing and editing of client reporting and marketing materials including: monthly and quarterly reports and updates, presentations, product profiles, and other related materials

•Assist new clients with inquiries and applications/subscription documents

Qualifications/Job Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university required

•Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in the financial industry (preferably in sales or investment management)

•Thorough understanding of financial markets and ability to compose monthly market commentary letters

•Ability to interface with management, clients, prospects and consultants on a daily basis 

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential

•Ability to make initial phone contact and effectively present product material to prospects

•Results-driven individual with a strong work ethic

•Ability to think creatively, work as part of a team, and create support for ideas and recommendations

•Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

•A passion for investments

•Financial certification or working towards a certification a plus
