Sales Consultant

Royal London has a new vacancy for a Sales Consultant to work in their head office in Wilmslow. The Sales Consultant will support the Marketing of company products to new and existing customers. This role offers a competitive salary with an excellent commission scheme.

Royal London Plus looks after 3.4m life and pension policies for more than 1.6m customers, including the majority of Royal London members.

We provide a high quality administration service for Royal London Group's direct business. We also sell new business to existing customers on a non-advised basis, via our Sales Contact Centre and through a range of provider partners.

The purpose of this role is to achieve an agreed sales target by making and receiving high quality targeted telephone calls during which factual information will be given in order to assist the customer in purchasing desired products.

Key Contribution Areas

- Support the marketing of the company's products and services to new and existing customers
- Build long term relationships with new and existing customers using effective communication and interpersonal skills. To prospect and maintain regular contact with customers to encourage further business in the future.
- Adhere to prescribed processes and procedures to contribute to the compliant operation of the sales contact centre.
- Treat customers fairly at all times and display professional conduct at all times both with customers and colleagues.

Technical knowledge and Personal Capabilities

- Experience in a Financial Services sales role
- CF1 or equivalent
- Must be flexible and willing to work on a shift system as required
- Good communication skills
- Good planning and organisation skills
- Good level of numeracy and literacy
