Business Development, Credit Risk Solutions (Solutions Specialist)
The role will be to sell our high-end "Economic and Credit Analytics Group" products to Chief Credit Risk Officers in first and second tier financial Institutions in a well defined territory. Working together with our Credit Analytics Economists, and the Product specialist and Moody's Analytics Generalist the Solutions Specialist will drive the sales cycle in the initial identification and outreach phase and will be responsible for staging the initial meeting and managing all elements of Moody's resources including presentations and proposals throughout the sales process. The role includes making sure that the project deliverables are in line with client's requirements for content, timeliness and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- To increase Moody's Analytics sales of credit risk solutions in a large US based territory.
- Act as a subject matter expert in supporting relationship managers in the sales process
- Assume a specialist role in communicating the value proposition to prospective clients
- Become familiar with Moody's suite of credit risk services and communicate that knowledge to obtain senior level meetings with prospective clients
- Take a proactive role in the sales process, employing a results-orientated approach to contacting prospects, working with customers and reaching sales growth targets.
Qualifications
- Minimum BA/BS in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering or related degree. An MBA, CPA or higher technical qualification would be a plus.
- Ten plus years of successful "C" level business development experience within the Financial Services Space
- Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills
- An understanding of Consumer Credit Risk, Credit Scoring, Loss Forecasting or regulatory frameworks -the Basel II, Solvency II is desirable.
- Ability to take a consultative selling approach with excellent relationship management and problem solving skills
- Creativity, flexibility, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
